The cuttlefish(Sepia officinalis) is a mollusk of the order squid. It is a species of cephalopod with ten arms, including two trailing arms. The cuttlefish lives on sandy and muddy sea bottoms in shallow coastal waters of the North Sea, Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. In the Netherlands, they are found mainly in the Oosterschelde and Westerschelde estuaries.
